It's pretty good really, once everyone else gets used to the idea that you haven't got 24 hours a day to spend servicing them. When that happens (wish) you may have the time to enjoy what you retired for. This site is about what we're doing.
Photography has come out on top of Steve's hobbies - the music comes and goes but it's usually just for a bit of chilling' in the study, rather than making CD's. It'll come back again when there's time - don't dismiss anyone that tells you there aren't enough hours in the day. There are a few new bits in Steve's Gallery if you're up for it.
Viv's getting back into her sewing and knitting - it's surprising what a new arrival can inspire - long may it continue.
The house extension is finally moving - we've got the planning permission through - now we're wating for tenders and confirmation of utility pipes / cables before we start the build. Hopefully we'll have another lounge and studio by the end of the summer. It'll give us the space we need to enjoy our interests more than we do now and room to work together.
It's starting to get busy in the garden with lawns to mow and weeds to weed and cats to throw bricks at. Things feel so much better when the sun's shining don't they? So break out that bottle of wine and enjoy what's all around us - we do!!.
Watch this space - we may start to get things organised (there's another pink one flying past!!) and maybe one of these days there'll be another CD or another work of art from Viv. We'll keep you posted.
