I've now got my bus pass - quite a milestone. Now I really am an old fart!!
Photography is what takes up most of my spare time. There's always something new to play with and new ideas to try out.
I finished the OCA Creative Digital Imaging course, but that's as far as I'm taking it. It was useful to see what was on offer and to do a bit of studying, but I don't think I learned a great deal from it.There are many other ways of learning and I'm afraid the OCA can't compete.
I'm now in the Photographic Society of America, which seems very good. I've completed an individual photography course with them and I'm now well into the advanced course. I'm a member of two Projected Image Discussion Groups (Creative and HDR) and I'm also an administrator for a creative Digital Image Study Group. If you're interested its on the PSA Site under Divisions > EID > Resources > Study Groups and we're group 34. The groups give constructive appraisal of images, without the judging, which I think is a much healthier way of learning. I've been getting acceptances into international exhibitions and generally doing OK by them.
I've added a few more images to the gallery (not before time) if you're interested.
