This page is all about Viv's interest in sewing. She's involved with an online City & Guilds course, as well as other web based textile groups - her latest were short course using her embellisher and then mutilating (very creatively) napkins - and now she's making holes and killing catalogues!! We've got the studio end of the extension sorted now, so her 'wet work' is much easier and there's more scope for experiments (stay clear if dyes are involved!!)

Viv's enjoyed sewing for ever. Her interests have taken her through machine and hand knitting, dyeing, patchwork and all kinds of embroidery. Some of her work wouldn't be classed as 'embroidery' by some people, but she's more of a textile artist than she'll admit to. Lately she's been getting involved with paper and mixed media, which she's also using in her textile pieces.

She's just finished a piece of Mountmellick work which we've put on her gallery. It's taken some time and lots of sweat, but well worth it.

Have a look at the pieces in her gallery and tell her what you think about it.
